The Buttercup Collection
One painting, three looks. Buttercup — my butterflies in full maximalist bloom, all yellow heat and red fire — reimagined as concept fashion: the same artwork carried across a flowing kaftan, a cross-strap jumpsuit and a strapless gown. This is canvas to couture: the painting doesn't hang still, it gets worn.
Look 1 — The Kaftan
Wide sleeves and a full wash of butterflies — the painting at its most generous.
Look 2 — The Jumpsuit
Cross-strap halter, wide seventies legs — the red ground lets the gold butterflies run.
Look 3 — The Gown
Strapless, full-skirted, unapologetic — the garden worn head to toe.
The source painting, Buttercup (mixed media, 16 × 20 in, 2023), is one of my originals. These concept looks show my idea of the painting carried onto fabric — the direction my canvas-to-couture work is travelling. More collections are coming.
